Mission Statement:
The Student Council of the Martin J. Ryerson Middle School serves to give student voice in the governing of the school including but not limited to serving as stakeholders in various planning, development, and implementation committees that govern school-wide policies, procedures, and programs. Members of the Martin J. Ryerson Middle School Student Council serve as representatives of the perspective of the middle school student at the school and district levels. Moreover, the members of the student council are the driving force behind activities, fundraising, and community service.

Our student council plays an active and important role in representing the student perspective on a variety of committees that also include faculty, parents, school & district administrators, and community members. The subcommittee chair members may physically occupy a seat in the room, but their presence there is representative of their student council peers and the perspective of the students they have been charged with representing.

Executive Offices
Students interested in running for the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer must first apply by submitting an application by Google Form. To access the form and submit your application, CLICK HERE.

Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the faculty advisors to the Student Council and you will be notified letting you know if you have been approved to run for office.

Homeroom Representatives
Students interested in applying to be on the Student Council as a Homeroom Representative who would be responsible for supporting the executive officers, must first apply by submitting an application by Google Form. To access the form and submit your application, CLICK HERE.
